Today is the last day of the Minnesota State Fair. I highly recommend it if you’re in the Minneapolis area (and hungry). We visited last Thursday morning despite the triple-digit heat threat. It’s a massive fair! We barely scratched the surface of what there was to see and do.
Of course there were tractors.
And cheese curds (that were almost devoured before I remembered to snap a photo).
And walleye fish cakes at Giggles Campfire Grill.
And Kemps’ Little Farm Hands fun, mini-sized farm experience for the kiddos.
Of course there were animals – day-old lambs and newly hatched chicks in the Miracle of Birth Center, dogs in the Pet Center, and barns of fair animals here and there. Many, many more tractors and lawn mowers and snow blowers and cars and campers to wander through. Exhibits of vegetables and dairy and art and who-knows-what-else. And tons of other food options (including the Sweet Martha’s Cookies I’m sad I couldn’t find before departure). Great people-watching, too.
Main Street says it’s one of the biggest state fairs… and I believe it! Catch it while you can.
