How does 1200-1600 hours of sunshine per year stack up to other places I’ve lived?
So I found this sunshine map of the US.
Surprisingly, San Antonio and Indiana fall into the same range. Not surprisingly Austin and South Carolina fall into the next range up. What this means is that for the first 30 years of my life, I was used to seeing 2400 to 3200 hours of sunshine per year.
Bottom line? The east of England sees HALF the amount of sunshine or less than I was used to.
No wonder my heart races and I scurry about getting us together to enjoy the sun when it’s out!
