One of my favorite, most-often craved foods from back home is a salad (A Junior) from this pizza joint (Arni’s). I haven’t ventured as far as trying to make some garlic bread to go with it.. but spring is the perfect time to round up all of the ingredients to make it yourself.
And, I will say, this is by far the EASIEST thing to make, and it probably will have the most non-Farmers-Market items of the series. A nice way to start nonetheless. Here it is!
My “Arni’s Junior” Nostalgia Salad
- Lettuce (to be most true to form, Iceburg)
- A couple of green onions, chopped
- A few radishes, sliced
- Cubed turkey breast
- Shredded mozzarella
- Croutons (if you want)
Throw it all together, and voila! You have a salad. I’ve always liked T. Marzetti’s Light California French on this salad, which is great because then I don’t have to whip up my own dressing. But it’s really up to your tastes.
